The Biocrimson (Officially known as the Biomass Crimson) was a form of World Infection in Antarctica, which grew out of remaining pieces of the Biomass going rogue after all of its "brain" was destroyed, leading the mass/body of the organism to start infecting the ground, spreading throughout all of Antarctica. It eventually grew to regain intelligence and regenerate a brain, but it was still eventually destroyed by a bioweapon. The brains of it survived the bioweapon, and transformed into the Biocrimson Microcolonies.

History

Biocrimson Microcolonies

Several small resurgent microcolonies grew out of surviving brainbytes of the Biomass Crimson. These first emerged as small pink puddles. Most of these were exterminated shortly after being created, but some of them either survived undetected, or were preserved in a laboratory environment for testing purposes.

Iujadocitia Colony

Iujadocitia Colony is by far the largest Biocrimson Microcolony. It exists in the ruins of Iujadocitia, it is still wounded as of now as the pink terrain caused by the Biocrimson has slowly been shrinking there until the early 300s, in which the shrinking stopped and it has since then neither grown or shrunk. It has infected the old structures in the city, and replaced them with itself. Underground studies have noted that it has not managed to spread deep underground.

Primary Colony

The original Biocrimson Colony still exists to some degree, albeit it was completely crippled by the bioweapon used against it, which has inhibited its spread back out of the mantle.

The Tendrils

It is known that the Crimson Cults attempted to genetically splice genome from The Hive with the Biomass Crimson, resulting in the Asophanian Tendril Outbreak.
