After the [[Accord-Zerg Cooperation to investigate the Abyssal Enclave]], a joint fleet began stealthily investigating the [[Abyssal Enclave]] to locate where [[SDS-033 "Abyssal Connection"|their bioweapon]] had come from, eventually being narrowed down to the planet [[Abyssa]], which appeared to be a totalitarian planet of 12 billion inhabitants largely employed in menial labour under the control of a [[hivemind]] governed by an entity known as the '[[Abyssal Motherorganism]]' residing in an underground palace near the bioweapon manufacturing sites. A cloaked [[CSIS]] frigate launched a volley of 10 15-kiloton nuclear bombs across Abyssa's surface after the analysis, causing damage significant enough for the hivemind's 'drones' to briefly freeze in place before rushing into hangar bays which launched numerous interceptor spacecrafts before said hangars could also be nuked, though the vessel recloaked before it could be shot down (prior to which images of it from all angles circulated among the [[Abyssans]]).

[[Zerg Leviathans]] carrying numerous 'fighter-sized' lifeforms arrived in the system which prompted the Abyssans to decide this was an invasion, which the [[Zergs]] interpreted as a call to action as they landed forces to invade Abyssa's surface which prompted the two to engage in highly coordinated Hivemind to Hivemind combat which expanded into space as well as Abyssan reinforcements from other systems arrived to combat the Zerg (whom deployed fighter-shaped ships carrying '[[Zerg Scourges|Scourges]]' which functioned akin to biological torpedoes), while Abyssan fighters appeared to be piloted by genetically modified amorphous organism connected to the hivemind. [[Zerg Nydus Worms]] began to infest Abyssan ships, overwhelming their incredibly efficient quarantine methods which involved sealing the areas and incinerating them with automated turrets, prompting said ship to launch a kamikazi attach which killed two Leviathans (within which other Zerg began nesting to repopulate) and injured another which began calling for help, releasing more Zerg "fighters". The Abyssal Enclave began deploying other species they had assimilated with their Bioweapon including Zerg from [[Antiga Prime]] and [[Urona Sigma]] (where puddles of the bioweapon were later found). CSIS ships bombarded the Abyssans with their Yamato Cannons and nukes, prompting the Abyssans to fire back with Nuclear Fusion Missiles sourced from their colonies, which the CSIS managed to somewhat shrug off.

Despite the Abyssans being surprisingly competent, they over time began being overwhelmed by the enemy munitions which forced the Abyssans into a fairly weak defensive position from which they failed to take out enemy ships from afar without getting destroyed. Having faced significant casualties, the Abyssal Enclave sued for peace and admitted defeat, which the CSIS and Zerg agreed to in return for a cure to the bioweapon. The Abyssans claimed there was no cure and that they should just not drink it and dispose of it.
