[[Spisos]] received a single letter from the government of [[Abyysky]], demanding their immediate vassalization and the beginning of recurrent 'tribute' payments. Spisos realised it had no way of winning or holding off, so it began sending its citizens abroad to escape their oncoming fate. Most of Spisos' population aside from some of its more conservative people and those which simply hadn't made it in time had fled as the terrified Abyyskan army reached the country and swept across its lands. After only minimal fighting, Abyysky had completely overrun Spisos and annexed it. Strangely, Spisos' presidents were nowhere to be found.

After the war, Abyysky began instating increasingly totalitarian policies such as 'admission booths' where each citizen would have to profess their undying loyalty and faith to the late [[Elmo Linasburg]] and the government of Abyysky with all of their emotions or they would be executed. Neighbouring states listening in to Abyyskan radio caught a number of strange incoherent broadcasts telling Rus to go to the admission booths and ethnic minorities to go to 'Purity Booths'. [[Yamalia]] and [[Luvakhia]] began preparing countermeasures against Abyysky by developing a massive espionage program, which uncovered that Abyysky had been creating concentration camps. The situation appeared to be severe enough so that the [[ACDL]] and [[Aundzer Alliance]] reluctantly began cooperating with one another in order to counter the upcoming threat. The leader of Abyysky was seen going into a wooden church in the rural '[[Abyysky Village]]' where the movement was founded before returning and broadcasting that the 'next vassal had been found'.
