	After years of growing separatism, Yetia's 'Turkish State' managed to pressure the government into holding a referendum for independence, concluding in the Republic of Alinak being recognized as a sovereign state. While Alinak was unable to convince [[Sarpistan]] to hand over its turkic-majority territories, it did manage to convince [[Morduria]] to unify with it in order to establish the [[Republic of Alduria]] as a pan-Turkish state. The formation of this new state allegedly threatened Sarpistan's interests, prompting them to launch an invasion of Alduria. Alduria luckily had decades of Yetian military knowledge behind it, allowing it to theorise that a swift and efficient strike into the fertile crescent would greatly disrupt Sarpistan's war effort. Regardless of their plans, Alduria was forced to at least initially pull back as Sarpistan occupied the south of the country until a counter-attack could be launched which liberated their territories and occupied the island of [[Cyprus]]. Sarpistan pushed into the Caucasus, which left it vulnerable to an offensive thru [[Trabzon]]. Sarpistan began considering a peace treaty as the sources of the Euphrates and Tigris alongside the north-east of the country was occupied by Aldurian forces after their successful counteroffensive.

			Out of fears that Alduria could spread westwards if it won, [[Choros]] intervened on the side of Sarpistan and invaded Alduria's coastline, though this was soon crushed which forced Choros to withdraw. Alduria kept pushing further southwards into Arabia, eventually leading to Sarpistan capitulating and agreeing to concede significant portions of its northern territories to Alduria, where reconstruction efforts soon began. After the conclusion of the war, many within the People's Republic of Alinya decided to move back to their homeland, allowing the native turkic groups to supplant their Anatolian overlords and proclaim the [[Republic of Anakistan]].
