			The '''Basalt Cavern''' is a [[Liminal Sub-Space]] located within the [[Backrooms System]] that takes the form of a connected hallway, maze, semi-flooded cavern, and a set of rooms that each share the common trait of being composed of basalt rock. The first section is the Hallway which acts as the most common point of entry into the Sub-Space, though other than it is largely unremarkable other than being a long hallway. the second section is the Maze, a vast grid of interconnected hallways that can be difficult to properly navigate despite it being the location where the 3 other sections meet. The Cavern is a large cave system located to the east of the Maze, notable for having most of its lower sections flooded with water that drips down from the top of the cavern. The Rooms are a more artificial-looking collection of rooms with doorways connecting them to the east of the Maze composed of a darker unidentified rock that is illuminated by occasional lamps that reveal occasional supply crates for people in the region to make use of.

			Due to its cramped spaces and darkness the Basalt Cavern does not host a permanent population, only having a population of roughly 0-7 transitory visitors as of 442 at any given time.

	Level 34 is a massive level, larger than most but still not the biggest. Everything in it is made out of basalt, other than the concrete floor of the hallway and maze. the level also contains 3 "sections" Which will be covered here.

	The hallway is a very long hallway, which is the most common entry point. The hallway measures around 500 meters long, When you enter the level the most traditional way, You will end up at the end of the hallway. To enter the next section you need to walk to the end of it, Look out however as soem entities may burst out of the walls to attack you.
