The CSIS decided to send a stealth craft to investigate the territory of the Elder Overseers, though no ships appeared to be patrolling the borders or stopping their incursion, allowing them to take many scans of the area which were only hampered by an 'amnesia effect' seen in the Sorroda and R'lyeh systems similar to a phenomena which had been documented on Taros-1 following the Sorroda Contact. While the 'species' native to the Elder Overseers could be measured and studied by CSIS' probes, its organic crew was almost completely incapable of perceiving any of the studies as recordings and photos appeared to cause the same effect. Despite the best efforts of their "Anomaly Detection and Research Android" in cooperation with the "Anomalous Species Research Division"'s "Elder Overseers Research Committee" all they managed to ascertain was a rough idea of the High Priest's appearance and that he was a very low-ranking individual who pursued all of his conquests independently of any 'government'. The ship thus moved onto the other planets in the fiefdom, noting Solarya to be completely primitive, Vortakhx to be at least somewhat more organized as it had a hierarchical eusocial structure even if the Vorxan hives on the planet had carved out most of its crust and mantle into ant-like hives, and Nebiula appeared to be home to a species with similar functions to Zerg aside from being strictly scientific rather than primal. The CSIS team decided to take samples of the Vorxans, capturing several drones/workers (whom became irrational and confused when not in their colony) and DNA samples from a queen to analyse them at the cost of agitating them to the point that further expeditions were considered too risky.

In their later analysis, it was discovered that the High Priest was the only Elder God even slightly involved with the recent expansion of Overseer space and that he was the sole resident of the planet of R'lyeh while many more resided on Sorroda. Meanwhile in the Deep Core, the Concordian Republic (a member of the Galactic Federation) noted that they had also faced the same amnesia effects if they travelled northeast from their home world, which a expedition from cloaked Protoss Observers (highly advanced AI) confirmed to be true as they discovered a roughly Accord-sized area they inhabited, though as all attempts at contact were disregarded the expedition concluded.
