The Elder Overseers have reigned over their domain in the core of the Galaxy since the days that sapient life first documented their presence. While in the past they may have been more 'active', the Elder Overseers are largely dormant and isolationist, with only a few disparate communications such as the mysterious "[[Sorroda Contract]]" ever leaving their territories.

Several disparate stories and legends exists of the origins of the Elder Overseers, with none of them ever being confirmed. These tales tend to have similar themes such as the tale of the first Elder God, [[Azathoth]], and his spawn making use of their intuition and imagination to [[Wei'virs|forge]] the universe.
