The Holy Order of Christ is a catholic [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Military_order_(religious_society) military order] and member of the [[United Occult Initiative]]<ref>It was also amember of its predecessor, the [[Accord Occult-Force]]</ref>. It is one of the more militarized members of the UOI, forming a significant part of the [[United Occult Initiative#ACTION|ACTION Division]], although because of this the HOC itself when operating separately from the UPI mostly exists as a collection of chaplains and priests.

The Holy Order of Christ claims to be the reorganized successors of the Knightly Order of Christ, which operated during [[Ancient History|Ancient Yata]] from their founding in 892 BCE until their public disbanding in 685 BCE, although continuing to operate secretly until [[the Great Sleep]]. The Holy Order of Christ re-emerged during the [[Third Occult War]], which it joined on the Pro-Yetian Side, fighting against the [[Zuchuan Society]] and the [[Xiaweiyi Society]]. Following this they joined the [[United Nations of Yata|United Nations]]' Anti-Anomaly Agency alongside all other combatants, eventually being reorganized into the [[Accord Occult-Force]], which went on to form the [[United Occult Initiative]].
