Angered by [[Itachia's]] stagnation and previous territorial losses decades prior, the people of Itachia had attempted to overthrow the unpopular [[Itachian Communist Party]] multiple times by this point. As was tradition, a next attempt was organized once the right-leaning opposition flocked to the '[[Itachian National Surrealist Party]]' as the INSP's paramilitaries stormed [[Lima]] and executed the government, swiftly spreading out of the city. Attempting to prevent this new force from spreading, [[Titicaca]] and [[Cocala]] intervened by occupying the [[Acre-Amazon Province]] to at least secure a region of Itachia from the [[L'Avenirism|L'Avenirists]]. All remaining government forces either fell into disarray or fled into occupied Acre-Amazon, which was partitioned between Titicaca and Cocala.
