After the polarising results of the [[180 Rossiyan Elections]], [[Rossiya's]] neighbours fears directed towards their formerly relatively peaceful neighbour were proven correct as Rossiya declared war on [[Kalevala]]. Kalevala freaked out and prepared to defend itself as the enemy army rushed over the border. Kalevala saw success with its guerilla warfare along much of the front while Rossiya pushed with its main forces towards [[Helsinki]], convincing Kalevala to set up defences north of the city rather than preparing to hold it. As Kalevala began having more and more issues holding off Rossiya, it began evacuating its people into neighbouring [[Svealand]]. Rossiya soon reached the Gulf of Bothnia, prompting Svealand to vow to liberate Kalevala one day. As Rossiya began completely overrunning Kalevala, the Kalevian army suddenly completley dispersed and rushed past the front-lines and fled into the woods to wage a protracted insurgency as crackdowns against the '[[Kalevian National Army]]' began.

After the war, the Rossiyan High Council officially began favouring the 'Tritonists' over the 'Rossiyanists' and 'Reformists', concluding the provisional government in place as the '[[Tritoniyan Empire]]' was proclaimed.
