After recent economic successes from its population growth, the monarchy was officially abolished in [[Kingdom of Nilastan|Nilastan]], leading to the formation of the [[First Republic of Nilastan|Republic of Nilastan]] under President [[Rajendra Prasad]]. Nilastan quickly began to reorganize some of its foreign policy, seeking closer ties with [[Tritonia]]. [[Sizzle]] had also recently been quite active, having peacefully annexed [[Asgorth]] and [[Yakamoto]], allowing it to focus against [[NLE|Luxuria]]. [[Taiwan]], [[Yetia]], [[Lineland]], and Tritonia all requested membership in the [[Anti-NLE Pact]] that had previously been formed by Sizzle and Nilastan, with all of them being promptly accepted. After a [[Ceylon Conflict|brief conflict on Ceylon]], Nilastan began the next phase of its 'Anti-Luxuria' plans by sailing its ships off the shore of [[New Luxurian Poavak]] in order to spy on them, pissing off Poavak as it demanded the NLE destroy Nilastan. The NLE simply indtimidated Nilastan into stopping by asking if it was doing anything the NLE should know about.
