The chaos in former [[Lineland]] which began in the [[Third Linelandic-Yetian War]] lead to a massive refugee wave headed west from '[[East Tritonia]]' into the territory of the newly reborn [[Tritonia]]. The government of the '[[Almatsk Federation]]' decided that this wave was unacceptable, and closed its borders with armed guards preventing the crossings. As rioting refugees began to overwhelm the guards, the Almatsk government opened fire as it saw them as mere traitorous defectors, prompting Tritonia to intervene as it saw this as 'their people' being gunned down. Tritonian soldiers crossed the borders in certain places to escort refugees to safety as both sides bombarded the wall, escalating to tank battles. Tritonian forces soon also entered the neighbouring [[Surgut]] clique, who protested their presence as it was uninvolved with the situation. Over 250 Thousand refugees made their way thru the Almatsk, Surgut, [[Yamalia]], or even [[Sizzle]] border into Tritonia, while many were left behind as Tritonia retreated from Almatsk. Tritonia contacted [[Denasola]] and requested more data on [[Omnistat]], as they had been supplying Almatsk with weapons during the conflict. Once Tritonia had fully withdrawn, only 350 thousand had crossed despite almost a million being yet to do so. Fighting would cease at this point, with only diplomatic tensions continuing later on.
