The nations of [[Eteria]] and [[Mozambique]] together decided to invade [[Nyasaland]] so that it could be partitioned between the two of them, with Eteria bringing in support from its close allies of [[Goldaria]] and [[Makebia]] while Nyasaland being supported by [[Hausaland]] and [[Volta]]. Eterian forces struck south along the coasts of [[Lake Malawi]] and Mozambique attacked from the south while Hausaland and Volta shipped in aid thru [[Wanaoishi]] while Eteria and Mozambique advanced to encircle and capture [[Lilongwe]] by meeting up down the middle of the country. Once Lilongwe was encircled and besieged, Eteria dedicated half of its army into capturing the city while the rest swept up the countryside, leading to the surrender of most of Nyasaland's military and government once Lilongwe and the government were captured. The remaining Nyasan forces along the southwestern border were soon also dispersed, forcing them to resort to minor insurgency-warfare in the coutnryside as the entire country was occupied by Eteria and Mozambique. With no way to liberate their ally, the rest of the [[African Communist Entente]] recognized the defeat of Nyasaland and left the war as Nyasaland was temporarily reorganized into two occupation zones.

Following the Coalition's effective teamwork against Nyasaland, the four nations of Eteria, Goldaria, Makebia, and Mozambique agreed to unify into the '[[East African Federation]]' with widespread support and stability. The four founding nations alongside the annexed Nyasaland were integrated as 'Federal States' within the Federation alongside several additional States carved out of the founding states, with [[Zanzibar]], [[Somaliya]], [[Afaria]], [[Tigrinya]], and [[Ruanda-Urundi]] also becoming states with their own governments and autonomies. The '[[Nyasaland Revolutionary Party]]' which had ruled Nyasaland reorganized itself into the '[[Nyasan People's Party]]' advocating for the region's independence, though despite this the EAF was met with widespread domestic and international approval especially by pan-africanists.
