Due to the nature of '''SDS-024''', if any future cases are found outside of a enclosed environment there is no way to seemingly easily contain SDS-024 due to its nature. The currently contained specimens were luckily discovered in a enclosed, building environment and thus have been contained successfully, however this containment has proven to be difficult. The chamber that SDS-024 is contained in must be air-tight at all times, and thus needs to have multiple airlocks on its entrance to prevent it from having long term contact with outside air, so it cannot spread spores. TSDS-024 was contained in [[Biological-Site-7]], which has since then been captured by the [[UOI]] whom has presumably taken over containment operations.

This amount of caution is needed, because of SDS-024's tendency to infect humans and assimilate them as essential puppets serving the tendrils. This is easily done via skin contact, however there have been verified samples of the virus responsible for infection (Designated SDS-024-A) found in air, however these take much longer to successfully infect an individual.

'''SDS-024''' is a non-sentient/sapient organic being which takes the form of a set of vines and growths, which are mostly made out of fat and muscle with occasional areas of connective tissue and epithelial tissue. Inside the vines and growths there can be found a nervous system, and some smaller blood vessels deeper down. SDS-024 seemingly initially starts as a psuedo-mold like stage, spreading via spores known as SDS-024-B. These soon enlarge though, into large systems of fleshy vines, tendrils and growths. In large open spaces large mushroom-like bulbs can grow. SDS-024 is seemingly capable of bioluminescence, with some sections of it glowing bright yellow in dark spaces through thin pouches of epithelial tissue found across the vines.

It has been discovered that SDS-024 occasionally infects humans, turning them into mindless people who wander in a trance trying to help the entity spread across larger areas. This is done easiest, via skin contact. If a human touches SDS-024 tissue with bare skin they will be infected within 2 hours and transformed into SDS-024-B entities, which resemble humanoid forms of the vine. Another method of transmission is the spores themselves entering a person, which is why it must be kept in a airtight space to prevent infections. This method however takes much longer, and is sometimes unsuccessful. This takes roughly 1 week for successful transmission, if the body does not fight it off.

SDS-024 was first discovered in the [[JADIRAD]] facility as it had started spreading through its ventilation system. This specimen has now been eliminated, and samples which have regrown somewhat have been contained in [[Biological-Site-7]].

After extensive research it has been confirmed that SDS-024 may share a common ancestor with the [[Biomass Crimson]], and has a direct relation to the [[Crimson Cults]], who are thought to have developed it.
