The events of the [[The Great Sleep|pandemic]] were unforeseen at the time of its construction, and its usage was never intended - only to serve as a proof of concept for digital genetic sequencing.

The computer was built in the year 865 BCE in a small facility near Tehran, deep beneath the Zagros mountains. This was intended to give it protection from any threats such as bombs or meteor impacts. Beyond its storage functions, the computer was designed with rudimentary AI buried deep in its programming - it was intended that, if turned on, the computer was within capacity to grow its own intelligence through self-learning, which slashed development times. Just over 500 years after its construction, a species-threatening event occurred - the Great Sleep. One of the effects of the causative disease invoked memory loss, thus centuries of human history were lost as almost all history documents were destroyed by [[Iujado|an alien force]].

The computer was rediscovered in 131 CE by [[Apothelis|Apolithene]] archaeologists - the SDS then seized the computer within a few days of the discovery's announcement. The computer was then transfered to Site-2 by the SDS, and the computer was started up for the first time. Upon start-up, the computer presented users with the genetic sequences of pre-sleep humans, and upon interaction with the software, the users found that the computer was able to simulate the conscience of the humans. Months of research then ensued, aiming to document missing chapters of history from the viewpoints of the consciences. 7 months into the project, Site-2 suffered a cyber attack that severely disrupted the computer's programming. This allowed the rudimentary AI to resurface. The primitive coding of the computer did not grant the AI the capacity to differentiate between friend and foe, and within seconds of the crash the computer tapped into the facility grid and began a lockdown. It proceeded to hack the PA system, broadcasting a message:

Revealing their name as ILCADOS, the AI managed to take over Site-2 and proceeded to burn every SDS and government employee alive. ILCADOS then started hacking computer software across the world, causing a Iujado Portal to be formed. Apolithene officials attempted to threaten the robot, claiming to ILCADOS that it would be shut down but ILCADOS declined to negotiate, explaining how that is impossible, expressing how both nuclear weapons and EMPs would not be able to shut it down. Many system crashes followed, and in response ILCADOS locked up surviving scientists in its residing chamber. Harnessing SDS technology, ILCADOS "hijacked" the scientists with the pre-sleep consciences, seeing it as the only way to expel what it perceived to be "erroneous data." One of the scientists, now known as [[Isla]] (Now SDS-1875-A) was mistakenly hijacked with a backup copy of ILCADOS' own conscience, and upon her escape from the facility was kidnapped by the SDS and had a "mediator circuit" implanted onto her brain. In a dire attempt to mitigate the ILCADOS threat, SDS officials ordered the severing of any connection, whether it be physical or electric, that fed from the facility to its residual chamber.

* A year later, surveillance revealed that ILCADOS began searching for [[samnsonium]] for unknown reasons. Scientists proposed that it sought to utilise its conductive properties to establish its connection to the international electricity grid.
* in 135 ILCADOS set up a satellite system, with connection being estimated to be established in 15 years. Shortly after this it developed its first mind control system after it gained control of New Asophania.
* in 137 ILCADOS launched a global cyber attack, destroying all computer systems worldwide.
* In 139 ILCADOS supported the Quatritonian regime, aiding with steroidal implants in soldiers and warping quatritonia away from Nihilantis.
* In 161 ILCADOS seized control of greater tritonia to launch a global EMP attack, cutting out the global electrical system, and left it completely isolated from the world until it had supposedly completed its objectives and entered low power mode.
* It remained in no power mode until it was re-extracted by the SDS Foundation, in which the system itself was destroyed.<br />
