Thru the telescope, Theia appeared to be distorting while its people fled eastwards as the planet split violently as purple beams erupted across the middle. Theia was seemingly duplicated, with all survivors successfully fleeing onto the half that had survived thanks to experimental cloning technology. [[Yetia]] theorised that this incident was due to the Universe attempting to drag [[Humanity]] back into [[backrooms]] as they were seemingly never supposed to leave, though how true this was was unclear. The new duplicate of Theia was named '[[Selene]]' after the greek equivalant of the deity [[wikipedia:Luna_(goddess)\|Luna]], daughter of the deity [[wikipedia:Theia\|Theia]]. Fearing that events such as the formation of [[Level 37]] during World War 11 and now this duplication would lead Humanity back to the Backrooms, Yetia and Asophania decided to work on a way to prevent Theia from reaching the split point, which they theorised was a tear into the Backrooms.
