The '''Submarine Halls''' is a [[Liminal Sub-Space]] within the [[Backrooms System]] that takes the form of a winding labyrinth of concrete and metal hallways (depending on where you are) that resemble those found on a submarine, though the structure of the sub-space largely doesn't follow the shape or internal structure of such a vessel. The hallways themselves are fairly plain, with the most notable landmarks being occasional doors to empty rooms that one may camp out in. The most notable resource to be found here is some-kind of natural gas found within pipes found lining the walls of the hallways, which has proven to be a valuable fuel source for countless individuals across the entire backrooms in location where there is no naturally available power/electricity.

Mainly thanks to the largescale gas deposits present here, the Submarine Halls sustains a small but notable population of roughly 41-55 permanent inhabitants and transitory visitors at any given time, of which roughly 40% reside within the [[Secure-Defend-Subjugate Backrooms]]' base known as "[[Secure-Facility-64]]" which houses various amenities such as beds, a medical centre, a kitchen, and fuel reserves. Another 50% reside within the [[Backrooms Reorganized Explorer's Organization|Backrooms Reorganized Explorer's Organization's]] "[[Lookouts Base]]" Colony, which is physically much larger although with less advanced amenities. Both of these settlements primarily thrive off of the gas trade, though the remaining 10% of 'independent' individuals beyond either of these settlements are also known to partake in this.
