'''The Crooked House''' is a [[Liminal Sub-Space]] within the [[Backrooms System]] that takes the form of a vast oversized house slightly tilted to its side, alongside various hidden rooms below it. The Crooked House section is the only populated and properly explored one, as the underground rooms have so far mostly been avoided by the pre-established populace to avoid unneeded risks. The 2 areas are connected via a series of staircases on the first floor of the Crooked House.

===Crooked House===
The Crooked House has 3 floors, the bottom and middle floors resemble pubs, while the top floor is resembles a residence. The entire building is in a boreal forest based on what can be seen out of the windows.

===Subsections===
The Subsections are fairly large and lack any universal features other than being made of wood. Some resemble disorganized houses, some are fully fornished rooms arranged into a classic backrooms-style maze, and some are vast expanses of empty repeating rooms.

===History===

*During [[Nihilantis-Incident-149]] the nations of [[Sizzle]], [[Neo-Sarpia]], [[Scandimar]], and [[Sarpistan]] were sent to The Crooked House. Additionally the nations of [[Aparty]], [[Drenemoria]], and [[Yanhei]] also made their way there from [[Neverending Staircase]].

==Demographics==
The Crooked House is not governed by any largescale group, instead having fairly large unorganized & nonaligned community. This community operates a bar/restaurant within the Crooked House, and has a population of roughly 318

===[[Backrooms Military Administration|BMA]] Station Tavern===
[[Station Tavern]] is an outpost run by the [[Backrooms Military Administration]] in The Crooked House. It is located in one of the many sub-sections vaguely near a large staircase which leads to the Crooked House. The outpost houses roughly 25 BMA personnel at any given time, whom mainly use it as an observation post to monitor activity in the Sub-Space.

=== [[Backrooms Reorganized Explorer's Organization|BREO]] Camp Delta ===
[[Camp Delta]] is an outpost run by [[Backrooms Reorganized Explorer's Organization]] in The Crooked House. It is located in one of the many sub-sections near a elevator which leads to the Sub-Space's main section. The outpost houses roughly 27 BREO personnel at any given time, whom mainly use it as a small encampment to spread their influence.

*You can either find and go through the door in [[The Light]] (Settlement within [[The Dark World]]) to enter the Crooked House, or fall through some holes in [[The Dark World]] to be sent to one of the Crooked House's subsections
*Crossing the broken mansion bridge in one of the far-away obscure areas of [[The Lobby]] leads to a hallway which leads here.

===Exits===

*You can go back through the door in [[The Light]] (Settlement within [[The Dark World]]) which leads here.
*If you climb to the top (3rd) floor of the Crooked House, and find the bathroom, you can noclip into the toilet to enter [[The Sewer]].
*A obscure door in one of the Subsections leads to [[The Lobby]].
