The forest can be divided into 2 sections, a large dense forest and a small tall forest. The dense forest has shorter trees with grass below them, alongside several small unaligned camps. The tall forest is mostly uninhabited, and is the place where people enter the level.

There are no largescale colonies in The Dark Forest, although there are several unaligned small camps independent from any large groups. Several common entities have been sighted and encountered within the forest as well. A majority of these encounters have occurred within the tall forest.
