After a experimental cloning program via the [[New Mei'ra Institute]] was impractical and technologically unfeasible (due to lacking genetic diversity), the Accord contracted the construction of a massive [[Synth]] manufacturing centre on [[Skurial]], with the Synths originating from said plant being put to work in propping up new colonies until their very small Human populations could become self-sustaining around the same time that 'self-sufficiency' programs began being instated on other worlds as well to lessen the need for interstellar trade. Despite the Blargs being an ally whose death was indeed mourned, the possibility of colonizing much of the area in order to finally connect the Accord's 'core territories' and the [[Koprulu Sectors]] was deemed a interesting prospect regardless, soon leading to a major very long-term colonization project being approved that saw a series of colonies and bases being slowly established in the region, though this progressed very slowly due to how damaged the region was, eventually forcing the colonization projects to only take place on previously already uninhabited worlds rather than former Blarg ones.
