Prelude
A Polskan ocean liner was caught and damaged in a storm, causing it to drift into Floppastani territorial waters which it tried to escape from with whatever engines were still operable, though unfortunately the ship was too slow as it was struck by a Floppastani missile and sunk shortly afterwards due to committing a 'border violation'. The CSIS complained that this was clearly because of the storm and killing 3000 civillians over it wasn't ok despite Floppastan's insistence on maintaining its 'territorial integrity' via isolation. Facing public outrage, Polsk mobilized and sent rescue ships to retrieve the few survivors only for said ships to be sunk, prompting them to instead send a massive naval detachment of 5 aircraft carriers, 8 battleships, 18 carriers, 25 destroyers and a hospital ship into Floppastani waters to retrieve survivors with any Floppastani interception attempts being sunk by submarines if they entered within 10 miles of the Polskan fleet. Floppastan demanded that Polsk cease its territorial violations as it didn't care about the tragedy, which Polsk ignored as it gathered survivors and sent them on the escorted hospital ship back to Polsk while the main military fleet remained. Floppastan gave one final warning to withdraw, prompting CSIS to start a 3-phase bombing campaign targeting Floppastani naval bases, fuel storage facilities, ammo storages, ships, military bases, and airfields. Floppastan interpreted this as an act of war and began began shooting down planes and bombing Polskan ships, prompting Polsk to shoot down attacking planes as it declared 'victory' in its operation to cripple Floppastan's airforce, navy, and military in retribution against the sunk boat. Floppastan claimed the boat was not leaving its waters despite the boat having activated its SOS and attempted to leave despite most nations being expected to repair or help a damaged boat entering their land, which Polsk claimed was justification to 'take away Floppastan's navy and defend its territorial waters themselves'. Floppastan kept insisting that violations of its isolationism would be met by force, still launching aerial attacks against Polsk's ships which while not very effective were still enough to force the CSIS to bring in reinforcements. Polsk ignored Floppastan's demands to leave and instead demanded that Floppastan pay reparations for each casualty caused in the sinking of the ship, prompting Floppastan to claim it couldn't do this due to being poor due to Polsk's own actions against them in recent conflicts and that instead Polsk should be paying reparations for each dead Floppastani, which Polsk disregarded as it didn't really care about deaths caused by protecting its allies. Polsk launched one final bombardment before leaving, though unfortunately this was a step too far for Floppastan as it demanded immediate compensation for the damages caused in sovereign Floppastani territory during the bombings and a (compromise) joint recognition where both nations would admit they had caused thousands of civilian deaths in return for not pressing charges over the hundreds of thousands of dead Floppastanis over all conflicts in the region Polsk had involved itself in, which Polsk decided to pay to maintain peace. Polsk claimed that if this would happen again Floppastan would be wiped off the map, which Floppastan disregarded.
Floppastan worked tirelessly after the boat incident, setting up new much stricter ocean patrols alongside instating the 'Islamic Revolutionary Patriotism Law' which instated state-propaganda that demonised Polsk as an evil destructive force while purging every government official opposed to the propaganda to prevent dissent. Polsk responded to this by dropping leaflets of a Polsk citizen stamping Emir Muhammad Sumbul's skull in, prompting Floppastan to drop leaflets over Polsk in response as it previously had not done so, with both sides' propaganda dropping programs ending in failure as in Polsk they were used as toilet paper and in Floppastan they were burned in Floppascus City Centre in a 'Death to Polsk' chant, prompting the CSIS to do a show-of-force flight above Floppastan. Various political developments continued in Floppastan as Polskan Citizens began fleeing the country or arming themselves for self-defence which prompted the government to instate a 'Anti-Firearms Law' which saw the government confiscate all private firearms (despite Polsk's attempts to still arm them) that were currently in circulation while also making the process to getting new guns much stricter, with all politicians opposing this law being purged. Despite everything, Floppastan instated the 'Insurance of Safety Act' which banned discrimination of individuals over diplomatic incidents, but this wasn't really enforced.
A series of incidents began happening in Floppastan as 17 Polskan citizens were beaten to death by an angry mob at Flopairo International Airport while they were trying to leave the country, with the Floppastan Police Department avoiding stopping the violence despite the Insurance of Safety Act. Polsk demanded more security and enforcement of the ISA (which they were grateful for) while they halted most flights going to-and-from Floppastan side from those carrying repatriating citizens of theirs which they were encouraging to evacuate Floppastan due to the tensions. Another airport attack (though this time without any deaths, only injuries) happened in Floleppo, prompting the Floppastan government to shut all airports for a week in order to avoid further incidents as their security was evaluated, which Polsk denounced as its citizens were clearly in danger and needed to flee, thus it began operating private flights to northern Oriento. Polskan citizens (mainly veterans) in Floppastan meanwhile formed a group of militias collectively known as the 'Polskan Republican Army' which raided police stations, freed prisoners, and held demonstrations demanding the right to leave and not be harrassed, though most of these militias were quite easily crushed due to the Anti-Firearms Law leaving them very underequipped despite Polsk smuggling weapons. A 'Second Islamic Revolutionary Patriotism Law' was passed to instill patriotism alongside a new 'Military Reconfiguration Law' which dissolved the current Floppaeda militias and replaced them with a new disciplined and hierarchical military incorporating many elements from the former Floppastani government's military in order to create a new 'National Defence Construct'. The PRA attempted to launch terrorist attacks in Floppairo, which the radicalised populace called a 'TDP attack' and kept doing their 'death to Polsk' chants, causing the few opposition forces to either stop their own demonstrations or blend in to avoid being attacked by the mobs of radicalised patriots. Polsk kept trying to arm the few disorganized anti-government individuals in Floppastan with weapons, though most of these were intercepted by the government who demanded an explanation from Polsk as it had traced them to attempts to violate their gun laws, prompting Polsk to explain that it wasn't doing this as it was private individuals in Polsk that it would investigate alongside Floppastan, which Floppastan refused so Polsk tried to 'investigate' itself which lead to several Polskan Central Intelligence Service operatives being captured and tortured (with many committing suicide to avoid the torture) which only made Polsk send more even better trained and undetectable spies. Clashes began in Floppastan between the PRA and the new 'Floppastan National Resistance' patriotic movement which was sponsored by the government. With the Feline Federation being one of its only remaining allies in the region, Polsk contacted them regarding the Floppastan situation and proposed a joint invasion to 'federalize' Floppastan, which the Federation accepted as it was already militarised enough to wage such a war, with the two agreeing on a plan to make a fake naval invasion as a diversion while hundreds of thousands attacked thru the Outback. Floppastan of course noticed the landing crafts approaching its shores, leading to the start of the war.
Course of War
The soldiers assigned to the decoy invasion made landfall which caused major battles significant enough to distract Floppastan while a massive CSIS, Polsk, and PRA force pushed through Floppastan's mountainous southeast, which also proved to be enough of a distraction for Polsk to launch a proper naval invasion despite not being able to connect its two fronts due to the mountains. Polsk unrecognized Floppastan as a country and instead recognized the United Floppa Republic as the legitimate government, despite the UFR not having existed for 40 years. Polsk tried to avoid civilian casualties, but regardless fired upon everyone who was armed. Polsk attempted to incite rebellions via sabotage, freeing prisoners and propaganda, though due to the roaming mobs of FNR supporters most resistance groups were very difficult to organize. The first few anti-Floppaeda uprisings and demonstrations began happening as the 'Bingdustan United Front' revolted and a suppressed federalist demonstration occurred in Flophdad. As Polsk kept advancing, troubling news emerged from the south as clashes had begun on the Bingustan and West Baitang ceasefire lines, escalating as both sides put armies on the borders and the Feline Federation officially declared Bingustan as its sovereign territory, prompting Oriento to do the same as clashes between the two escalated until both sides' armies began full-scale attacks on another and supporters of each side rioted, leading to the Feline Federation launching an invasion of Oriento-controlled Bingustan. The Feline Federation swiftly occupied much of the region before officially declaring war on Oriento, advancing much more rapidly than anyone expected which prompted Floppastan to declare war on Oriento as well to establish a buffer zone which Polsk promptly attacked from occupied Oriento.
After annexing some eastern Orientese territory, the Feline Federation began work towards the formation of an 'Interim Government of Baitang' which would be established when the area around Chinussy would be cleared of the insurgent Baitang Liberation Army, Baitang National Republican Front, and Baitang Provisional Directorate (who were attacking all TDP members). With Polsk continuing to attack with even more forces, Floppastan began retreating from the southwest into more defensible positions known as the 'Floppascus Line'. Polsk bombarded the line relentlessly, though all it managed was breaking through the 'outer defences'. The Feline Federation established the Interim Government of the Republic of Baitang once Chinussy was cleared. The three insurgent groups didn't recognize the interim government, prompting the PLA to proclaim the 'People's Republic of Baitang', the NRF to proclaim the 'National Republic of Baitang', and the PD to proclaim the 'State of Baitang', each declaring themselves to be the 'true government of Baitang' despite being on the same side against the Federation.
