Polskan Backrooms Expedition
A strange warped communication was detected from an unknown source which stated "Exploration Log #343: Tonight, we ventured far out into the western lands of 27.3, and we found a massive lake... It could even be a ocean. Once we regain contact with [INDECIPHERABLE] we shall try to assemble a ship". Polsk found this interesting and tried to track the communication, but could not find its origin as it appeared to come from another dimension so Polsk tracked it thru Subspace, with the tracking response being a garbled "PDXTMLN-CNCT-230941283U4098-1273094871298-0347U09123UIE091-23U809123840-72309146029-3469081234" which was clarified by a Polskan artificial intelligence to mean "27.2 West-End" which was traced to be a signal originating from the 'Primary Backrooms Entrance Portal' (despite a communications link not existing) in the Red Army, with a Polskan ship above measuring it as a 30-meter wide circular entrance that a team of DCAE researchers entered. They first appeared in The Lobby where they were isolated both physically and electronically (with their comms devices malfunctioning) due to its effects, though thankfully brochures handed out at the portal instructed them to head northeast to a known meeting location exempt from these effects. They met up at this location known as "Point Alpha" where they managed to trace the communication to a sub-space known as 'The Outskirts'. They were unable to get there from here as the only exits at Point Alpha were to The Chasm and the Decrepit Hospital. Locals advised them to check the computers for guides, with the computer calculating a slower 'safe route' which went from The Lobby>Neverending Concrete>Hotel Backrooms>Infinitopolis>The Outskirts and a faster 'dangerous route' which went from The Lobby>Decrepit Hospital>The Sewer>Infinitopolis>The Outskirts, with the DCAE team deciding to take the safe route.
In order to enter the Neverending Concrete, they were supposed to find a fire exit within the empty area despite them mysteriously separating without a known cause whenever they ventured too far into it, though despite not being able to communicate the teams eventually came across a door which led to the Neverending Concrete, where they were reunited and their communications (within) the backrooms were restored. Through binoculars, they sighted a fountain with old music playing from it which was soon revealed to be somekind of settlement named 'SDSB Outpost - Vaultlock', which they deemed as a useful way to survive. Within this settlement, they sighted 4 individuals with 'SDSB' labled uniforms, thus the DCAE team introduced themselves as Polskans (with SDSB recognizing Polsk from a 30-year-old map brought in) after verifying that the SDSB was affiliated with the SDS, though the SDSB people did explain that it was a effectively separate organization from the main SDS. The DCAE asked about the communication, which confused the SDSB as it didn't match up with any known faction (as due to the SDSB's operations and the Backrooms' scale documenting every group of people was quite impossible) and that it came from an unexplored area they knew as "The Woods", with no explorers having ever come from there. Thus, the DCAE continued its journey through hundreds of empty rooms until they eventually came across a puddle beneath a hole where a light should be in most other rooms, thus they climbed up into the hole and entered the Hotel Backrooms where they could stock up supplies.
