In recent years, tensions between the Theian Republic and Polsk were steadily rising via a number of diplomatic incidents such as territorial water violations by submarines and nationalist protests in Polsk which they failed to shut down, greatly annoying the TR's sitting president Donius Sienti while the Theian Senate and Polskan government at least tried to somewhat de-escalate. Despite Polsk's supposed intentions to de-escalate, it sent its navy for a power projection cruise on the Republic's coast, prompting them to threaten a blockade of the Sea of Suo to trap the fleet inside, forcing Polsk to retreat them via an airlift. Tensions rose high as Polsk kept sending spacecrafts and older seacrafts into TR territorial waters and airspaces, prompting the TR to demand that they back off which Polsk refused as the Republic was supposedly trying to make them violate their constitution so they were being defensive. TR told Polsk to back off as the two accused the other of provoking them, with a major incident occurring as a Polskan frigate charged at the blockade and got sunk which the Polskan government didn't do anything about as charging at a blockade wasn't exactly smart, angering the navy about the lack of action so they all began charging the blockade and clashing with TR ships, leading to some internal conflict in Polsk's military. The TR demanded an explanation, so Polsk claimed it was captains disobeying orders before it suddenly declared war on the Theian Republic anyway, bombarding its naval and military bases to try to prevent a response which only made Dazhyyn declare war on Polsk in solidarity with the TR, while the ongoing Yamatoan Civil War merged with this larger conflict.
Polsk started off with a massive missile bombing campaign against its enemy while large ship battles and the first ground battles began occurring. Polsk sent ships to break thru the blockade while it summoned in the TDP for aid, leading to the Karina Dynasty and YNF coming to their aid much to the TR's dismay. Polsk attempted to use a very strange form of psychological warfare to give TR soldiers an inferiority complex, which didn't really work so they went back to bombing spaceports with bunkerbusters while Osania sent some volunteers to help Polsk's efforts. Polsk began sending a couple hundred thousand soldiers to assist the Yamatoan Imperial Society against the TR-Backed Shogunate of Yamato while it kept bombing its main enemies. Polsk finally broke thru the Sea of Suo blockade and moved to invade the coastline while in the south they pushed with the goal of cutting off supplies between Dazhyyn and the TR. The Yamatoan capital of Minshu fell to the Imperial Society, forcing the shogun to flee to Abroshi Island in the northeast while the rest of the country either fell to the Imperial Society or under the control of local Daimyos, though the Imperial Society put its focus on advancing towards the Shogun's hideout. Polsk moved to take over the Valats-Sorn Confluence, but failed due to an artillery barrage which lead to a major battle as Polsk fired back yet faced heavy losses. The Shogunate installed loyal rulers in the Daimyos of Abroshi, prompting the Imperial Society and Polsk to launch a two-pronged attack to take over the island, leading to the city of Kitafuku which housed the Shogun falling which forced the Shogun to flee abroad. Polsk began bombarding the Theian Republic Military Command Centre with all it could, prompting TR ships to enter the atmosphere above New Warsaw to bombard Polsk's military buildings, though this didn't cause much more than collateral damages as they were already evacuated. Polskan ships pursued the TR's ones and chased them away before they turned and opened fire, causing significant damage to both sides as well as forcing Polsk to pull in reinforcements from Saturn and Nova Polska.
Due to claiming that Polsk and the TR had never signed a weapons limitation treaty, Polsk started using cluster bombs and napalm against the TR, prompting them to do the same while Dazhyyn began using spike traps. Polsk sent in tanks and paratroopers into/towards Theia City itself, which the TR worked to surround and destroy as its spacecrafts gained air superiority. Polsk began pushing to connect its beachheads while both sides' battlecruisers fired at each other in the sky as Polsk tried to stop the TR from bombarding enemy forces on the ground. Ships clashed in the sky as smaller Polskan ships were shot down and used tractor beams to take down enemy crafts with them, TR Boarding ships struck Polskan engine blocks in non-manned kamekazi attacks to try to damage their hulls enough to make critical strikes. More paratroopers dropped into Theia City and the marines on the coast kept spreading out while ships blew up above and bombs fell onto bases, with the bombardment gradually increasing and increasing. Polskan forces kept pushing in the south with the goal of cutting off Dazhyyn from land supplies as it blockaded the country as well. Chaos continued in Theia City as more and more paratroopers fought in the city with the goal of capturing key government buildings while the TR gave chase whenever they weren't dealing with more landings behind their lines. TR began bombing Polsk as well, hitting military, industrial, and energy production sites, though most were blocked by shields.
Polsk kept bombing and bombing and sending more and more forces, even managing to hack the TR's nuclear codes to blow up all of their silos. As it kept advancing, Polsk launched 3 nukes to strike the TR's largest military bases, even destroying the Military Command Centre which ended up killing about 10 million civilians. TR forces sent its mechanized forces to outflank the enemy forces advancing in the south. Polskan helicopters were struck by TR anti-air, which was in return bombed by Polskan spacecrafts. Polsk moved to try to attack Dazhyyn froom behind by landing armies east of Euskara Berria. TR secured defensive positions in the south to attack Alderavin in the future, prompting Polsk to set up defences in the region as well as increasing its air attacks, resorting to heavier weapons once anti-air started being set up. Polsk launched a major southern counteroffensive before moving on an attack thru the outback in the east, firing missiles and advancing in other regions to circumvent enemy encirclements. Polsk tried to get more TDP members to help them under the pretense that the TR was corrupt and a threat, though in Arstotzka's eyes he was just eccentric rather than being an actual threat. Polsk kept nuking the TR, so the TR nuked Alderavin which was blocked.
