Theian Railway Network
Theia's railway network spans nearly the entire planet of Theia. Having begun construction in 116 CE in Macanaland, it now consists of six major routes and three minor routes, and is still expanding. This makes it considerably larger in both scope and scale than the older railway network of Yata.
History
The first route to be constructed was the line running from the city of Northport in Macanaland to Trentonia in Iujadogia, passing through the city of Furenze in West Malia. This was later extended east to East Kaul, and southwest to Westerlago in Equador and Astralo, part of the eponymous country. These lines formed the core of the Macana Connect route. The beginnings of a new route emerged following the construction of a railway from Northport to Costadeponte in East Malia, later extended to Keldryk in Savalonia. Macana Connect would then extend its route through Apradelta in Macanaland to meet the line at Apradelta onwards to Costadeponte. At the same time, railways were constructed in and around the San Iujadis valley linking the cities of Iujadogia, however this would later close.
Macana Connect's services would be extended to Osania through a railway linking the end of the line at East Kaul to the city of Saimaa. A more direct Northport-Costadeponte would then be constructed, forming the backbone of what would become the Trans-Theia route. From here, a northward expansion through to the Tritonien city of Alephitis via Magansville in Geldve, and far southeast to the city of Sanctus in Gensokyo.
A westward expansion from Westerlago connected the cities of Lutaria to the network, and a branch line to Nueva-Vitoria-Gasteiz from Astralo would also open. An entirely new route was then constructed from Magansville to New Warsaw in Polsk. The IRIPHOS branchlines then opened, linking Shestorio to Arcoradia, the IRIPHOS facility, and the wilderness city of New Sapporo. New extensions also emerged from Keldryk to Alsavaeid City in Alsavaeid, and from Sanctus to Ciudad Gris in Swagonia. The next branch to open would be from Magansville to the Coconut kingdom.
The Alsavaeid branch line would bring many extensions, including a new fork opened in the Macana Connect route that links Osania's cities to Keldryk, and Saimaa to Alsavaeid. Alsavaeid would then construct its own network in three phases. The first phase saw Alsavaeid City linked to Secundus Harbour, and the second saw a new branch to Alara Matiya in the Karina Dynasty. The third phase would be preceded by an extension of the Trans-Theia line from a fork between Celacrete and Shestorio that ran first to IRIPHOS, and then later extended to the wilderness city of Costadinalti and further on to Samudra. This enabled the third phase to be completed from Alara Matiya to link up with the Trans-Theia network at Ojtlitlen Junction.
The most recent construction was an entirely new route, beginning at the city of Kevralesti and running to New Senkai City in Senkai.
Routes
Macana Route
The Macana Route constitutes railways operated as Macana Connect. It is the oldest of Theia's railways. It consists of a main line running from Northport to Saimaa, with six branch railways terminating at Astralo, Kaulside, Keldryk, Costadeponte, Trenton Cliff and Casford, and Mudussy, Eclissi and Ekhelye. The line is shared with the Gensokyo Route between Northport Central and Northport, and the Lutaria Branches are jointly operated as part of the West Theia Route.
Gensokyo Route
The Gensokyo Route constitutes railways operated by Gensokyo Connect. It consists of a main line between Northport and Sanctus, with three branch railways terminating at Alsavaeid, Costadinalti and Tlayokoyan. The line is shared throughout its entire length (except between Northport Central and Costadeponte). Northport to Northport Central is shared with the Macana Route, whereas the rest of the route is also operated as the Trans-Theia route. Additionally, the Ojtlitlen-Costadinalti section is operated by Alsavaeid Connect. On these sections, Gensokyo Connect operates a stopping service, whereas Trans-Theia is primarily an express route.
West Theia Route
The West Theia Route consists of a main line between Magansville and Port Polsk, with one branch railway to Myoeland that diverges into the Lutaria branches, which are shared with Macana Connect.
Alsavaeid Route
The Alsavaeid Route is operated by Alsavaeid Connect, and consists of a main line from Alsavaeid to Costadinalti, with two branch railways terminating at Alkemet and Secundus Harbour. The line is shared with the Trans-Theia route between Alsavaeid and Almaeiz, and again between Ojtlitlen and Costadinalti, which is additionally shared with the Gensokyo route.
Senkai Route
The Senkai route consists of two main lines, between both Sanctus and Alsavaeid and linked with New Senkai City. It has one minor branch line that goes to Erimos, another station in New Senkai City. The route is shared with the Gensokyo Route and the Trans-Theia route between Sanctus and Kevralesti, and between Kevralesti and Alsavaeid.
Trans-Theia Route
The Trans-Theia route is the longest of the Theian railway routes, with a main line running from Alephitis to Zelenaya Dolina. It has the most branch lines - seven - terminating at Casteliche, Furenze, Samudra, Tlayokoyan, Alsavaeid, Alsavaeid World Trade Center, and Saimaa.
Nueva-Vitoria Branch Line
This branch line runs exclusively between the stations of Astralo and Nueva-Vitoria-Gasteiz.
IRIPHOS Branch Line
This branch line consists of a main line between Shestorio and IRIPHOS, with one branch line to New Sapporo.
Coconut Branch Line
This branch line runs between Magansville and Coconut Kingdom, stopping via Altopiano.
