As Yetia's position weakened due to the Harsens Disease Outbreak, a group of Italian insurgents took this opportunity to rise up and overthrown government authority on the islands of Sardinia and Corsica, proclaiming the Second Republic of North Italy. Italy began helping their northern brothers with boats so they may escape if necessary while Sipedro offered them monetary support.
