Yetia's situation grew worse and worse as their country was torn down, prompting Choros to ask when the Adriatic Alliance would be withdrawing from Yetia as they were essentially tied to a corpse. Vedaburg explained that their occupation would be indefinite so that Yetia may never rise again, prompting Choros to remark that they didn't believe that it was physically possible for Yetia to rise again as Vedaburg had ripped apart anything that could be used for production and consistently robbed them of their resources. Choros and Najova began to agree that Vedaburg had gone way too far, while Italy sided with Vedaburg as in their eyes Yetia deserved it for being a danger which threatened their very existence every time it rose to prominence despite formerly sharing similar views to Choros. Choros argued that Yetia had become literally incapable of being a threat due to Italy's and Vedaburg's actions that had prevented them from even producing basic necessities, so them making weapons wasn't a concern despite Italy claiming that they'd find a way. Choros explained that the Adriatic Alliance had to withdraw from Yetia or they would be even worse people than they already were being, arguing that they had become worse than Yetia, arguing that they weren't going to achieve centuries worth of re-industrialization in an instant even if they tried really hard as their country was essentially dead in the water and no longer functional. Opposition to Vedaburg and Italy began to form as people in Vedaburg and Italy started to oppose their governments while Choros, Najova, Hispania, and Waclaw withdrew their forces from Yetia. Najova, Hispania, Waclaw, and even Choros would leave the Adriatic Alliance over the controversy, prompting Vedaburg and Italy to crack down on dissent by suspending elections. Tritonia would intervene at this point after being called 'imperialist scum' and accuse Vedaburg of living in fear and becoming the very thing they swore to destroy as Vedaburg exaggerated Yetia's supposed crimes. Tritonia accused Vedaburg of becoming the instigator of the very crimes it supposedly was preventing, punishing Yetia for defending itself. Choros and Tritonia moved to send aid to Yetia, which Vedaburg attempted to stop by turning away every ship with military force, prompting the United Nations to pass a resolution condemning Vedaburg and Italy for crimes against humanity and genocide, placing them under extensive sanctions as intervention was considered. Vedaburg remained resistant and refused to let ships in as supply planes were forced to airdrop materials in, which Vedaburg moved to stop until the 'Yetian Mandate of Corse-Sardaigne' broke free from Italian rule and denounced Italy and Vedaburg. Choros began to realise that intervention may indeed be necessary as protoeests rocked Vedaburg and Italy due to their actions and the cancellation of elections. Vedaburg finally "took action" against the supply planes and began shooting them down, convincing the rest of europe that intervention was necessary as Choros, Tritonia, Najova, Corse-Sardaigne, Waclaw, Kalevala, and Tanume declared war on Vedaburg and Italy as their armies entered the two rogue states as others granted military access.
