President Johan Kraag of Lizarb passed away, prompting the Central Committee of Socialists to begin the process of deciding a new president. Taking advantage of the power vacuum, exiled Lizarbian right-wingers came into contact with various right-wing and anti-communist groups in the Cayenne area as well as hiring Lustlandian and Brazilian mercenaries. In the 5th of November 253 these various anti-communists coalesced into the 'Coalizão Nacional' and staged a coup by seizing buildings and enacting infrastructure sabotage in Cayenne as their paramilitants invaded the city's beaches, prompting Lizarb to mobilize a response alongside its ally Dzaphania.
