As the Second Yetian Empire and Third Sizzlean Empire officially signed an alliance, many within Sizzle opposed a return to their imperialistic ways, leading to many rallying around a man named Patrky to oppose the new empire, notably rallying hundreds of thousands of Yomtachs to his side alongside countless human volunteers, forming himself an army able to fight back against the empire.

Not knowing of these developments against him, King Alex III marched an army to the borders of Sipedroan New Sizzle, demanding control over it, which Sipedro tried to negotiate to happen within a few days rather than immediately, displeasing Alex III as he readied his army to invade... only for Patrky's army to suddenly flank the Sizzlean one, successfully capturing Alex's top general and skinning him alive due to him being sent to mass murder Sipedroans in New Sizzle. As the Empire's focus shifted onto Patrky rather than New Sizzle the battles began spreading out deeper throughout the country, with Patrky's newly established "Third Zanssi" launching various attacks in Beijing that lead to the death of Alex III's son. Angered by this, Alex III's army and Patrky's army engaged at Xining, concluding in a surprise victory for Patrky.

Due to Third Zanssi raids in its territory, Yetia was somewhat dragged into the war which prompted them to suggest luring Patrky's army into a trap and using missiles to wipe them out, which Alex III refused as he desired to kill him personally. Patrky's and Alex's armies met in Beijing, with each of them leading at the front of each army, chanting their anthems until both armies rushed at each other as flares were launched into the sky, soon tipping into Patrky's favour as his reserves struck the Imperial army from the sides
