Ankhes (ANN-kesh) is a verdant tropical world located in the Deep Core. It is an unchartered planet, meaning its location is not known except to those who discovered it in 408 CE. Ankhes is a remarkably difficult planet to reach through conventional travel due to the traverse one has to make through the Deep Core, which is a likely reason as to why it remained uninhabited. In 408 CE, it was located on the final portal clock, and the second world visited by TERAPRO researchers (inadvertently) as part of the Twelverealm Gateway Offering. This is likely the reason why the oceans of the planet were highly toxic, having been infested with the remnants of anguished spirits (in actuality a part of Guinevere), however the water no longer appears to cause harm to lifeforms, and may be potable.

After its initial discovery, its coordinates were mysteriously destroyed until researchers from Eos were able to rediscover the planet's location, and it now hosts an Eos-funded research station. Given that it is a planet capable of hosting intelligent life (but has not), Empyrean laws forbid the permanent settlement of the planet, meaning that the research population is entirely transient.
