Angered by their subjugation during the Second East African War, the people of the HASATBC-aligned 'Second Eterian Republic' and 'Second State of Goldaria' collapsed into chaos as revolutionaries proclaimed the Third Eterian Republic and Third State of Goldaria. The governments of the HASATBC puppet regimes were temporarily dissolved as much of both country had quickly fallen to the uprisings. The island of Madagascar was the first region to fully fall to the rebels as Hongerswak and Sarpistan were incapable of sending support in time. Humambo took advantage of the conflict to demand territory from Hongerswak, which when refused lead to it aligning with the Democratic uprisings despite itself being a dictatorial regime. Most of Hongerswak's initial fighting was against Humambo, as they had countered Hongerswak's ravagers with rocket launchers, leading to confusion in why Humambo was even fighting the HASATBC due to their aligned interests. Sarpistan took the lead in crushing the rebels. Protests broke out in Humambo among its internal vassals, which didn't lead to much.
The formation of Yetian Equatorial Africa as a colony of Yetia lead to Heydar Pianga of Hongerswak having somekind of meltdown about having it on his nation's border. This lead to Humambo recognizing that it also hated Yetia, leading to it and Hongerswak signing a peace treaty and aligning with each other in the conflict. Free Goldaria began pleading for international business relation, which was largely unsuccessful until it told Sipedro that Hongerswak had nuclear weapons, leading to it agreeing to provide Goldaria military aid. Hongerswak got angry over the Sipedroan aid, though it soon noticed that Sipedro was not alone as Yetia had declared its full support for the Democratic Bloc. Sarpistan withdrew a majority of its foroces from fighting the Goldarians and Eterians as it went to quickly combat Yetia invading its core territories, which was quite blatantly going in Yetia's favour as they outnumbered the enemy. While Hongerswak did largely occupy Yetian Equatorial Africa aside from a few guerilla armies continuing to operate, Eteria and Goldaria launched invasions of Hongerswak's and Humambo's eastern regions.
