After years of constant cannibalism, Heydar Pianga (Leader of Hongerswak) was diagnosed with Kuru, leading to him declaring Elena Pianga (His firstborn) as his successor before dying on the 14th of January, 141 CE. Moseka Pianga (Heydar's second child) stated that he had this coming as while he may of been good to his children he did mistreat his people and actively eat them (to the point that he died from it) while also calling all other countries ruled by the Pianga family to be equally greedy and corrupt, leading to Elena jokingly commenting that maybe she should go make her own country then. Deciding to take this literally out of spite, Moseka formed the People's Republic of Wanaoishi in northern Hongerswak and declared war on Hongerswak.
Wanaoishi quickly seized all the weapons for all the garrisons in the north and pushed south in order to end Hongerswak once and for all. Most of the lower class and middle class joined Wanaoishi, and due to them making up most of the army Hongerswak struggled to fight back as the elites lacked willingness to fight. Hongerswak managed to recruit somewhat of an army by making vague promises to some middle-class divisions. Khat started becoming sympathetic to Wanaoishi's cause, leading to tensions between them and Hayah. Wanaoishi soon captured the nuclear silos and used them as a bargaining chip in order to convince Hongerswak to surrender, which it didn't. Wanaoishian forces began to approach Moja, with many in its army seeing the elite capital for the first time in the lives. Elena ended up trapped in an encircled pocket in Kivu, leading to her deciding to run into the forest with a few soldiers in order to avoid capture until she eventually ended up in Uganda, where she was captured after the soldiers inexplicably died of pneumonia. Elena was taken to the Ugandan Knuckles Queen, who was angry that Elena had intruded into the country to the point that she was on the verge of destroying humanity, leading to Elena telling her not to do it and not to be stressed as she found the queen really pretty, leading to the queen remarking that Heydar tried the same thing but Elena was actually respectful, so the two began dating. Uganda promptly joined the war on Hongerswak's side and advanced rapidly as the Ugandans were simply too powerful.
With Uganda now involved, Zina decided to intervene as well by offering to help Wanaoishi, though due to Wanaoishi not knowing what was going on Zina accepted on her behalf. Zina quickly captured all Hongerswakan land in the south and began clashing with Uganda's army intensely enough as for them to be able to go toe to toe with one another. Uganda refused to give up, so Zina shot a nuke towards Kampala which failed as a giant Ugandan Knuckles consumed it in one bite as the Queen revealed that the Ugandan Knuckles consumed nuclear weapons regularly for nutritional purposes. Creepy, Zina's girlfriend, also failed to destroy Uganda with her divine powers. Uganda claimed that Zina may feel strong with a deity on their side, but in reality the Kintu Empire had killed millions of gods to the point that they were singlehandedly responsible for prayers going unanswered. Creepy was incapable of destroying Uganda as its sheer power acted as a dead-mans switch that killed any deity that deleted them.
