As the day that Plan D was to be executed approached, Dictator Jurgen Neumann of Yetia swayed the Yetian Cabinet to vote in favour of an invasion of Lineland despite fears that it may fail, with 13 out of 21 cabinet-members voting in favour, just enough to secure support for a declaration of war. Seeing this as their last chance, Italy, Choros, Malta, and strangely Omnistat declared war on Yetia in response.
