Morellians are a sapient humanoid species that mostly inhabit the "Morellian Collective", an interstellar civilization located in the Delta Quadrant of the Inner Rim and Outer Core. Morellians themselves are the majority population within this civilization, and have advanced to the point of achieving FTL Travel which has allowed them to spread out to other systems. Morellians originated on the planet of Morellia, a tropical world where they managed to carve out their initial civilisation which consisted of divided nation-states ruled by 'Magistrates', with their later governments also being lead by a 'Magistrate', a quite autocratic non-hereditary leading figure whom sources their power from their position as leader of the army. Morellian Culture is quite rigid and strict, having unmalleable traditions which have made progress in certain fields slow at best, though this rigidity has also allowed them to become massively successful in military fields, allowing many Morellians to become some of the most well-renounded admirals and generals throughout the Galactic Community.
