As I go onto the battle field with my brand new gun. I look at the white kid with glasses next to me. I don't speak English, so I don't understand what he's trying to say to me. I stare at the dirty and bloodstained road, questioning if I should have just ended it all on that Saturday Night. I quickly shake my head thinking to myself: "I'm doing good for the world." But I can't help but wonder about the people I'm shooting. What if they have a family at home waiting for them to come back from the war. But they never do?

I stare at the sunrise. I hadn't slept all night because of the war. As I look into the hot and burning sun, an image quickly flashes before my eyes. It's my wife, she had died 2 years ago. It was a stormy night, and I was there with her. As she laid on her death bed, I watched her say her final words. "Please.. Miguel.. Don't lose hope. Please stay positive, even in the darkest of times.. I love you.." She said to me, slowly closing her eyes, which I never saw again. Her eyes were light blue, like the beautiful sky. Her blonde hair, like the shining sun. I wish I would get shot right here right now, just so I could see her pretty and calming face.

After fighting for what felt like ages, It happens. I get shot. The noise of getting shot echoes through my head. I fall to the ground, smiling. Now I'll finally be able to see her again. My comrades notice what has happened, but quickly turn away. They continue their attention back to the war. They must win this war, so the world can be saved. Right, saving the world ... I ponder if I have ever truly done anything useful for this planet? Or have I just been wasting my time for all these years.

My visions starts to become darker and darker. My family, My friends, my wife. I see them all in the distance, smiling. As I get closer, the cold and frightening darkness turns into a warm and accepting light. My wife gives her hand out to me. I grab her soft and gentle hand. Just as a waterfall, tears fall down my face. Will I finally be able to be happy? These two year had been hell to me, but now all of that seems to be a memory of the past. We all begin to slowly walk further, and further from the darkness. My wife looks at me, while we're holding hands, and says calmly "Let's go home, Miguel."
