Almadina is a major city in the south-western section of the Arabian Peninsula that is nowadays under the jurisdiction of the Arab Federation. Historically Almadina acted as the capital of the sovereign Republic of Almadina until its eventual destruction. Almadina is one of the most important port cities on the Bab al-Mandab strait, making it important for trade.
