Masqat is the capital city of Aparty (a member-republic of the Confederation of Yata) situated along the shore of the Gulf of Oman. Masqat consists of a mix of smaller structures and towering skyscrapers, with the taller buildings typically being much newer than the others. Masqat was founded in 93 CE by Muhammad Ahmed, who also founded Aparty itself. Masqat has historically been fairly important for geopolitics, with a number of major battles and incidents occurring there throughout history.
