The Akiqattuq Movement was a Kaurian Anti-Authoritarian revolt against the recently established Hyperborea in response to its formation by order of the current Kaurian/Hyperborean Dictator Big Chungus. The Akiqattuq Movement organized itself into a proper military force following the Niaqoq Massacre in which hundreds of its supporters were killed by the Hyperborean Military. Thanks to aid from the Liberty Pact the Akiqattuq movement was initially very successful, although it was eventually defeated by Hyperborean forces after 3 years of fighting.
