Samarkand is the capital city of the Yatan-Theian Federation's Republic of Anakistan, finding itself located in the Republic's south-western region known as the 'Samarkand Province'. The city has seen its fair share of historical involvement as battle-grounds during the Sizzlean Invasion of Turkestan and Yakamoto, the Second Kipchak-Ozbek War, the Ozbek Revolution, and the War for Turkic Unity.
