The Corundum Galaxy, officially designated as XEC 2207 or as NGC 10561, is a triple-spiral galaxy, named for its pinkish hue as seen in ultraviolet light. The galaxy is roughly 290 million parsecs away from the Milky Way, at a bearing of 302 degrees from galactic north, within the universal coordinates NF5:W99. Eno Xan, the mastermind of the Empyrium Civil War, came from this galaxy, and its location was confirmed through the extraction of their memories before their death at the hands of the Empyrean Emperor. However, precovery images of the galaxy from hundreds of years ago indeed exist.

A realm of ideals

Eno Xan's memories show that the Corundum Galaxy possesses at least eighteen advanced civilisations driven by ideals, rather than ideologies. These civilisations do not appear to be governed as collectives - in fact, they are more comparable to loose confederacies - however all contain a "sacred planet" that is considered central to their civilisation and to their ideal. There appears to be a deep metaphysical link between ideals and power within the galaxy, although the mechanic that drives this is unknown; Eno Xan may have called this system the "Sceptiverse". It appears that the system proscribes eight greater ideals (of which one holds a "mandate of hegemony") and ten lesser ideals, which correspond to how strong the ideal permeates through the Corundum Galaxy. It is also indicated that adherents to ideals are found across the galaxy, however power to exert them is consolidated within "emanators" that preside over the core civilisation of that ideal. Their primal aim is to establish hegemony for their ideal, and ultimately destroy all other ideals. Eno Xan was one of these emanators, and his bid for power led him to travel to the Milky Way to accrue power.

Sigil Ideal Emanator Civilisation Sacred Planet Paradigms
Transience Power is futile, death is inevitable, and order is chaos.
Kinship Family is the supreme being, brotherhood is the supreme pact, and honour is the supreme gift.
Chaos Eno Xan (deceased0 Luuanna Acheron Disorder is the natural state, confusion is consolation, and the self is the greatest paralogism.
Wisdom Erudition is the only path to supremacy, knowledge is the only valuable resource.
Freedom
Abundance Strength is found only in numbers, to multiply is to cement one's legacy, family before oneself.
Cooperation Calam Lemkeu Kelmian There is no fault in other ideals, hegemony must be shared, peace is the only option.
Endurance A man without discipline is a man with no path, personal strength is the key to success.
Harmony What is good for the Harmony is ultimately good for all, and the self is futile.
Pertinence One must have people below to control, and above to obey. Respect to the natural order.
Hubris Pride is the ultimate expression of the self, arrogance is the supreme demonstration of ability.
Solidarity Anyone's problem is everyone's problem, society is inherently holistic.
Hedonism A life without pleasure is a life not lived, the ultimate happiness will extinguish all ideals.
Diligence Morals are universal. All are owed justice for wrongs past, present and yet to come.
Perseverance The path to hegemony is one without rest, one without pleasure, and one full of pain.
Love Perceived evil is a perpetuation of consideration, exertion of hegemony is the ultimate love.
Fate Destiny cannot be changed, spacetime is holy and worthy of reverence.
Devotion Demonstrations of grace open the door to the heart, acts of faith perpetuate the hegemony.
