Yoph Fiyakyi[1], often known by the latinised name Iota[2], is a planet located in the Mid Rim, within the Empyrium. It is located in the binary Yoph system (to which it also owes its common name), of which it is the capital. Iophiuchi is a hothouse world covered in a dense atmosphere, but has thin habitable bands like the planet Beta Venera. The planet has no clear-cut seasons as it takes thousands of years to orbit its incredibly luminous star (which is in fact a stellar binary.) Like all other planets in the system, it is a free world that is not governed by the Empyrium's Imperial Authority.
It is home to the Imperial Investigation Bureau, the principal intelligence and security service of the Empyrium, and is regarded as such by both free and system worlds. It also hosts Fortress Fiyakyina, one of the largest maximum security prisons in the collective.
Together with Yoph Kosamyi and Yoph Innamyi, the three systems form the Yoph Worlds.
