Welcome to the YATA Wiki!

What is YATA?

YATA is a active roleplay/worldbuilding project primarily based in Discord and this Wiki, and formerly also on Minecraft. YATA progresses via 'news' events describing something that has happened, dialogue between characters or nations/organizations, via images depicting events, etc. At modern times the setting is a futuristic/sci-fi (This was not always the case, with sci-fi elements gradually starting in 2023) universe centred around the Milky Way Galaxy, with the previous/original focus being in the 'Alpha Sol System' which contains Yata (Earth under a different name) and Theia (a former rogue planet) as well as various other planets.

Across the timeline of YATA many people involved in making the lore have included various additions from other franchises they enjoy, which may explain some familiar topics and subjects.

Brief History

Yata was originally Java Minecraft creative server, created on the 25th August 2018 by Hakced. Starting around October 2018 we started creating lore for it, with some worldbuilding and nations. This lore overtime expanded in scope, becoming a massive collaborative project. Since then, the Minecraft Server and Lore have been separated from each other, in the process partly opening up the "lore" side of the community to anyone who follows the rules and wants to contribute.
