Sizzle began pursuing increasingly controversial tactics in the now occupied Shenguo and Yanhei after Sakkiang's destruction, calling it a 'One China Policy'. Shenguo refuted this as absurd, prompting Great Sizzle to explain that Sakkiang had become Shenguo, so the attack was 'basically done by the same state', which Shenguo quickly saw as bullshit as Nihilantis' involvement had become quite obvious by this point, making them and Yanhei coming to the conclusion that Sizzle was doing this out of greed. Shenguo and Yanhei scrambled to find allies, managing to secure Luvurian support and aid from Anakistani and Utsongan separatists.

Remaining Shenguese and Yanheian forces began a desparate push to liberate the territories that Sizzle had occupied, which was successful thanks to Taiwanese naval dominance and Sizzle being focused on crushing the Anakistani and Utsongan revolts. While the Pearl Alliance did see success, Anakistan was being steamrolled to the point that Drenemoria intervened against Sizzle. Drenemoria began to advance into New Sizzle, though it wasn't able to stop the fall of Anakistan and most of Utsong being occupied thanks to their previous guerilla tactics having become quite ineffective. Once both Anakistan and Utsong fell, their autonomous statuses were revoked as the two were directly integrated into Great Sizzle, with Shang soon being next as it was swiftly occupied despite aligning with Great Sizzle beforehand. Drenemoria and the Pearl Alliance kept fighting on despite Great Sizzle's consolidations. Luvuria's army arrived around the same time that Sizzle put its focus on Drenemoria, allowing the Pearl Alliance to launch an offensive into Sizzle which coincided with a uprising by the 'Empire of Zhonguo', an Anti-Robertson sinitic uprising which allied itself with the Coalition due to their common enemy. As Sizzle pushed deeper and deeper into Drenemorian held lands, Apothelis was the next to intervene against Sizzle as it rushed to stop their expansion westwards out of pre-existing concern that Sizzle would become a threat. Sizzle responded accordingly after having been largely passive economically thus far, all of the sudden shutting down all Sizzlean-owned and Sizzlean-backed companies and investments in their enemies, causing economic turmoil which Asophania and Denasola responded to by deciding to agree to an end to their war to collaborate on building a new technological monopoly together. Zhonguo, Yanhei, and Shenguo agreed upon a unification treaty following the war at this point, agreeing to establish a chinese confederation if they were to achieve victory run by a constitutional monarch and two prime ministers. While thee southeastern front continued to progress well, Sizzle kept slowly pushing back Drenemoria and Apothelis.

After a long fight, Great Sizzle's offensives even in the west began to fail which prompted them to begin preparing somekind of 'weapon', which Yanhei soon detected in the form of a massive power surge in the Taklamakan Desert which soon escalated into what appeared to be a massive explosion as shockwaves rang out throughout the region and weather services went haywire as storms began to erupt throughout the region, leading to a Typhoon soon being spotted off the Taiwanese coast. Shenguo was freaked out as they essentially never made it over to this region and how suddenly it had appeared, with the conditions certainly not being sufficient for one to form, leading to them coming to the conclusion that Sizzle had developed weather-manipulating weapons. The situation quickly went from bad to worse as Taiwanese nuclear facilities were destroyed and began leaking radioactive materials into the ocean which all coalesced on a previously restricted island, which all together awakened a strange creature as the island began rumbling, which was followed by the SDS Foundation officially announcing that a second instance of SDS-003 had been reported emerging from Ishigaki Island, promptly declaring a state of emergency as contingency measures were mobilized to deal with the threat much like had occurred during its first attack, causing Floria to remark on how during a recent SDS investigation to SDS-002 a number of their personnel had gone missing. The damage caused by the Typhoon allowed Great Sizzle to launch a significant counteroffensive in the east while its western front weakened.

Yanhei and Shenguo began preparing for a renewed offensive once with typhoon cleared, planning on pushing into Utsong due to it being unstable enough for a revolt to be instigated, which was supported by a largescale paratrooper campaign. While they saw successes, Shenguo was uncertain of if victory was a good ending, which was interrupted by Minguo joining on Sizzle's side (as they had occupied Taiwan during the Mingese Civil War), promptly launching an invasion of Yanhei. Shenguo noticed that the ongoing course of events didn't quite feel right as the world glitched and faded away as Shenguo appeared in an empty space. Nihilantis spoke of how Sizzle was right about Shenguo and Sakkiang being the same and how it was now taking the situation into its own hands. Shenguo begged for mercy as Nihilantis seized control over the country, leading to Jakalaika and Tritonia contacting the Universal Council in panic. Fearing Nihilantis' presence, Tritonia rejoined the Rus Alliance and organized it to take action at once by intervening in the war against Nihilantis & Sizzle, soon being joined by the Caligari Pact.
