Metamorphic Species, also known as Polymorphic Species or Shapeshifters, are lifeforms capable of changing their forms via shapeshifting to various extents, with some only able to change to those similar to their original form and others capable of transforming into virtually anything they can imagine, often not even having an original form to return to. While largely interchangable, 'Metamorphs' tend to be "unlimited shapeshifters" while 'Polymorphs' tend to have more limitations.
