The Republic of Tanume, also known as Tanume is a country in the Confederation of Yata. Tanume is located east of the Baltic Sea and north of the Gulf of Finland. The neighbours of Tanume are the Luvakhia, Tritonia, Rumynskia and Poland by land, as well as Kalevala and Svealand by sea.

Demographics and cities

Tanume has a population on 18 000 000 people, the largest ethnic groups being Belarusians (18%), Lithuanians (17%), Latvians (15%), and Estonians (13%).

The capital of Tanume is Vabalinn, while the largest city is Riga.

Politics

Tanume consists of 13 provinces, 3 of which, Võromaa, Ostpreußen and Livõd-randa, are semi-autonomous cultural and religious minority provinces.

Tentions between ethnic groups have always existed, especially between Lithuanians and Belarusians, however with the independence war, the various factions withing the Republic have a fragile truce and a small sence of unity to rally against larger foes instead of waging war to another.

Geography

Tanume sits east of the Baltic sea, South of the Gulf of Finland. Largest islands in Tarune are Saaramaa and Hiidmaa. The largest lake in Tarune is lake Võrts in the province of Rigas-Vidzemes. Famously, the Daugava rives seeps into the Gulf of Riga.
