Motherorganisms are a species of Elderspawn originating from the planet Abyssa. They have a octopoid-like body consisting of countless tentacles assembled in a tall pillar-like configuration, with each of these appendages largely consisting of a brain encompassing their whole form. Until late 327 there was only 1 Motherorganism, an individual living on Abyssa which rules the Abyssal Enclave. After a traumatic event said individual 'shot out' fragments of itself as split personalities which likely grew into more Motherorganisms, although wherever these individuals ended up is still unclear.
They are most notable for a special-kind of secretion known as 'Abyssal Connection', which is capable of overriding the minds of those it manages to enter to be under the control of the Motherorganism through a hivemind structure.
