Prologue
"I've seen her learn and grow."
"From my faithful servant to a Goddess herself..."
"Oh... how I am proud of her."
"Her name is Sakura."
"When she ascended.. she adopted the name "Tenno."
"Tenno means "Emperor.""
"Yet she was not a ruler."
"In the peaceful lands of Gensokyo, there was no need for rulers."
"There was harmony."
"And in revelation, she bloomed like the cherry blossoms that flourished across the plains."
"Her name means cherry blossom."
"Yet she threw everything away.."
"As I transmit this message to all yearning souls of this universe.."
"I sense her sojourn to find The Truth."
"If you find her..."
"Tell her I called."
"My name?"
"My name is Wisteria."
"O bountiful universe, whose mortals yearn for truth..."
"Bring my little sister to me."
Chapter 1: A President's Duty
"Who is it?"
"We asked to see you."
"I told you.. no meetings today."
"And that's final."
"There's big celebrations coming up, I need to work harder... plan more..."
"Surely you don't think people actually care about the quarter millennial?"
He sighs.
"It's final."
"Alright dear, now let's not say something we're going to regret.. hmm?"
He hears two people walk away, judging by their footsteps.
"Who are those people?" he says, turning to his aide
"No idea, Mr President."
More knocks are heard.
"WHO IS IT?"
"Andrei Varady, sir."
"Huh?"
"Come in.."
"Sit down.. sit..."
Andrei says "Good day, Mr President."
The President says "What brings you here."
"Sorry.. It's just been a long day."
Andrei says "Did they come knocking at your door?"
The President says "...."
"What?"
"Those people?"
Andrei says "Mhhhmm?"
"Right.."
"No...no I see."
The President says "What is it?"
Andrei says "Nothing..."
He discreetly writes on a notepad.
"Mmm.."
"That's all."
"Oh!"
"Sakura!"
Tenno pokes her head around the door.
Sakura says "Gooood day to you Mr President."
The President says "Wh- ah- WHO IS THIS?"
A huge thud is heard.
It sounds like a muted explosion.
Sakura says "Ooooh.. that doesnt sound promising.."
Andrei says "Best you come with us.."
The President says "..."
"I'm trusting you..."
They leave the room and walk down the corridor
They look out the window, to see a bright, clear, sunny day.
A thud is heard again.
The President says "What is the meaning of this.."
Sakura says "Those people.."
"They have a lot of secrets."
Andrei says "And they are coming for yours too.."
President says "What?"
Sakura says "After all, secrets are hidden..."
"How else are you supposed to collect all the knowledge of this world?"
Andrei says "What she said... yeah."
President says "...."
They go to the ship hangar
Sakura says "This yours?"
President says "Well this is my house..."
Andrei says "I like it."
"Very nice.."
They step outside and see a huge fleet of ships hovering above Mylonagrad
In an instant, they reappear on the main ship, courtesy of a tear.
President says "WHA-"
"Huh?!"
"Why are we up here now?!"
"Why am I-"
Sakura says "Shhhh... sit down!"
"It's okay."
He feels the ships engines charging up
All ships ready to jump to hyperspace.
Andrei says "Wanna come on a journey?"
President says "CERTAINLY NOT!"
"AND WHY ME?"
Sakura says "You're 73rd on our list."
President says "So you've asked 72 others?"
Andrei says "I know right? Missed opportunity and all.."
President says "Missed opportunity..?"
"And this "list"..."
"Why am I on this list?"
Sakura says "Well.. we can go find out."
"if you come with us."
"It might be important, no one knows.."
President says "Do you have the ability to put me back at my desk right now, as if nothing happened?"
Sakura says "Yeees."
President says "What about in one year from now?"
Andrei says "Yeeeeees...?"
President says "Uggh.."
"If it's this important.."
"I'm entrusting you, Andrei, this better be goddamn important."
Andrei says "Well, I don't know yet."
"Will it?"
The fleet jumps to hyperspace.
Chapter 2: Gone, not forgotten yet
Tenno says "Wait."
She suddenly feels a headache.
Andrei says "Are you okay?"
She sees her hand glowing green.
Tenno says "Oh no."
Anahita says "Is that bad?"
Tenno says "Agh... well.."
"It could be taken a few ways."
"Such disasters, figments of the mind..."
She sees a vision of Mount Orientalis erupting green energy.
"That can only mean one thing.."
"The Renunciation was ineffective."
Andrei says "What does that mean?"
Tenno says "That when I tried to give up my divine power.."
"SHE stopped me."
"Made me believe that I had... yet I hadn't."
Andrei says "She?"
Tenno says "Oh dear... oh no no no.."
"We can't chart a course there.."
President says "Chart a course where?"
Tenno says "Exactly."
Andrei says "WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?"
Alarms start blaring on the ship
Tenno says "Area of high meteorological activity? WHAT?!"
"Aghhh... not good.."
"The place- AGH! The place I mean..."
"It keeps... moving around..."
"It's impossible to find it by charting a course."
"We need to look for it... and hope we find it."
"And I know a way.."
"But it could take a REALLY long time.."
She uses her Dendro power on the flight computer
"I wish you weren't still here right now!!"
They jump to hyperspace, evading the bad conditions.
Andrei says "Who is she?"
Tenno says "I can't tell you any more."
"All you need to know is that the Power of the Nine still lingers."
"The Gods still have their mortal forms.."
"But if their powers are left unkept any longer, they could spiral into evil."
"When there is an incomplete "renunciation", the power grows corrupting."
"What Nihilantis did at Anor Londo.."
"He absorbed the power of Miraak and all the other gods."
"Although he achieved his goal, the power did not dissipate."
"His body was too weak to eliminate this concentrate of power."
"So it dispersed still, weak but corrupted."
"And slowly found its way to its owners one by one as they returned to normal life."
"If we don't renunciate it now..."
"Theia is in mortal danger."
"We need to find her, and stop this at once."
Andrei says "And how do you plan to find HER?"
Tenno says "We need to locate one of my close confidantes."
"His name is Helleborus."
"Luckily, we can chart a course to him."
"Still though, the route is dangerous and unkept.."
"Let's take this one step at a time."
