Sapience is the total culmination of a series of traits present within a species that includes the likes of self-awareness, abstract thinking, higher reasoning, possessing a personality, and feeling emotionally as well as thinking intelligently. Species that possess these traits alongside additional cognitive abilities are referred to as 'Hypersapient Species'.
