The Imperial Prototype Quantum Tunnelling Device, also known as the Oblivion Weaver, is an experimental satellite device commissioned by the Imperial Authority of the Empyrium and constructed in secret near the planet Tsadenia. It consists of two primary components - a dark energy funnel that harvests stellar material for energy, and a prototype quantum tunnelling device that has the potential to thread gargantuan amounts of dense energy through other dimensions (hence the name "oblivion weaver".) In other words, it is a portal device on a massive scale, stretching over 150 kilometres from top to tail.
One of its first documented uses was to transport Isla from the Empyrium system to the Alpha Sol system, some 42,500 light years away. Those who observed noted that opening the portal (and sustaining it for twenty seconds) was not even close to one percent of the devices theoretical maximum capacity, and its theoretical limit is still unknown,
