The Dagda Galaxy is the closest and second largest Satellite Galaxy of the much larger Milky Way, being fairly easily accessible through the "Cera Route" passing between the Cera System in the Milky Way and the Zaithera System in Dagda. Contact between the Dagda Galaxy and the Milky Way, despite being possible and not necessarily too difficult, has been very infrequent. Only two societies from the Milky Way are known to have a recent presence in the Dagda Galaxy, with the Galactic Federation briefly exploring the area in the 320s until 332, after which HAWK (also from the Milky Way) blocked further access from the Milky Way into Dagda as it began to operate in the area. Much like the Milky Way and its other satellites, the Dagda Galaxy has developed intelligent life advanced enough to form interstellar civilizations, with the largest being Eailaiya spanning across the 'southern' portion of the Galaxy which continued to expand, alongside various other smaller societies such as the Onaxian State. Much like how limited contact from the Milky Way to Dagda has been, contact the other way is also infrequent with only infrequent surveying expeditions having been sent by Eailaiya have occurred.

Much like its parent, the Dagda Galaxy is astrographically divided into various types of sub-sections to differentiate between its regions. While technically existing as an extension of the Milky Way's "Unknown Space", the Dagda Galaxy is divided into 5 rims of its own; the Core, the Inner Rim, the Mid Rim, and the Outer Rim. It is additionally divided into four quadrants, the 'Core Quadrant' in the middle, the 'Alpha Quadrant' to the south , the 'Beta Quadrant' to the north-east, and the 'Gamma Quadrant' to the north-west. The final method of categorization are Grid Coordinates, ranging from A-I and 1-7.
