Unifism (Erronously known as "Globalism") was an ideological movement that supported the formation of a global confederation. This confederation would have authority on global issues, while power of local matters would be relegated to the members of the confederation. Although it was economically and socially variable, all supporters generally emphasized the importance of Humanism. While The Confederacy may of fallen, the Yatan Commonwealth would arise to global prominence half a century afterwards to continue in legacy in some form, though it more so leans towards a form of proletarian internationalism rather than the more liberal Unifism.
The goal of Unifism is to combat and eventually triumph over the various problems that have hung over humanity's shoulders for so long, including the likes of poverty, war, climate change, and tribalist[1] mentalities. Unlike many similar movements calling for a united world, Unifism espoused the importance of democracy[2] and the continued existence of local ethnic cultures and languages.
